About this church

First Presbyterian Church of Greenville was established in 1820 and is a founding congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America. Pastor Robert Fossett leads the church in the Reformed tradition, with worship shaped by Scripture, preaching, historic creeds, and the Westminster Standards. Sunday School begins at 9:05 AM and worship at 10:00 AM. Morning worship uses organ, piano, and choir; visitors are welcome to dress comfortably. Nursery care for infants through age three is available during Sunday School and worship. Children study Bible stories and the catechism, while junior high and high school students study Christian doctrine and how to read the Bible. The church also holds twice-monthly Sunday evening gatherings with contemporary instruments, and offers adult studies and seasonal English classes for Korean speakers.
